Cookie Policy
Effective date: 8 July 2026 · Last updated: 22 July 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how Velron Digital Solutions (“Velron”) uses cookies and similar browser storage technologies when you access the Velron Client Portal.
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by websites you visit. Similar technologies include localStorage and sessionStorage, which store data in your browser rather than as a file.
The Velron Portal uses browser storage (primarily localStorage) rather than HTTP cookies for most of its functionality. This policy covers both.
2. Storage We Use
The following table lists every item we store in your browser:
| Key / Cookie | Type | Purpose | Expires |
|---|---|---|---|
| sb-*-auth-token | localStorage | Supabase authentication session — keeps you signed in | Until sign-out or 1 week |
| sb-*-auth-token-code-verifier | localStorage | PKCE flow security token used during email confirmation | Single use |
| supabase.auth.token | localStorage | Supabase refresh token for extending sessions | Rotated on use |
We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, analytics cookies (Google Analytics, Hotjar, etc.), or any third-party marketing storage in the portal.
3. Why We Need These
The storage items above are strictly necessary to operate the portal. Without them, authentication cannot function and you would be signed out on every page navigation.
Because these items are strictly necessary for the service you have requested, they do not require your consent under GDPR or similar regulations.
4. Third-Party Storage
Supabase. All auth tokens are managed by Supabase's client library (supabase-js) using localStorage. Supabase does not place any tracking cookies and does not use your session data for advertising. See Supabase's privacy policy at supabase.com/privacy.
Vercel. Our hosting provider Vercel may set a session cookie for load balancing purposes. Vercel does not track users for advertising. See vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy.
5. How to Control Browser Storage
You can clear all portal storage at any time through your browser settings:
- Chrome / Edge: Settings → Privacy and security → Clear browsing data → Cookies and other site data
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data → Clear Data
- Safari: Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data
Clearing portal storage will sign you out. You can sign back in at any time with your credentials.
Note: blocking localStorage entirely will prevent you from staying signed in to the portal.
6. Changes to This Policy
We will update this Cookie Policy if we introduce new storage items or change how we use existing ones. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
